Emerging from a bedroom, Wallingford Radio has come a long way in the last few years. We have spread our wings supporting local events including Bunkfest, the Car Rally, as well as the Fireworks to name a few.

Music brings people together and bridges generations. We want our radio station to support the local community, support local events and bring people together from all walks of life and generations.
We started out as a group of 3 friends from Cholsey with an idea of creating a internet radio station for our friends to listen to .
After buying more equipment and getting the community involved we very quickly out grew our studio and had to custom build a new one in a back garden. We then soon out grew that and one and went one step further and moved into an office and built our 3rd studio .
In the past year we have relocated to our 4th custom built studio that we can take to local events and support the Wallingford community further.
We have a number of local presenters and the team is a mix of young and old from the local community, with a vast repertoire of music knowledge and preferences. We’re always keen to build the team so anyone can come in and give it a go after completing our training. We train the presenters in the studio to operate the desk and control the playlist system.
Our objectives have been defined as:
1) To provide community driven and focused radio station to serve by entertaining and informing the residents of South Oxfordshire.
2) To support all other community driven and not-for-profit groups in the area, by providing a platform to promote their activities.
3) To provide coverage of local government in our area, keeping residents informed of decisions which affect them.
