Harry Joins Ian as many times a week as he can. With the support of his family and friends he is very keen to learn as much as he can about radio.

Harry is studying media at A-Level and found his love for radio. Harry said “Since I was younger i’ve always wanted to carry music as a passion and am happy that I am finally able to deliver that through Wallingford Radio. Being behind the microphone enables me to have fun while entertaining an audience, which is what makes me want to do it even more!”

Harry is currently working on his own show which will be broadcast sometime in November so watch this space.

Alfie has left Wallingford radio to study at Huddersfield University. He will return and join Ian when he can. Good Luck Alfie

After previously having work experience at a local Formula 1 team back in 2019, Alfie had the opportunity to report on the tyre testing at the home of British Racing, Silverstone. He ended up meeting Robert Kubica 🇵🇱 at this test, who managed to make a comeback to the sport that year. This experience brought a new interest into reporting and journalism.

At the start of 2021, whilst undertaking A-Levels in Year 12, Alfie completed the Reading Scholars Programme in Film, Theatre and Television. He chose the Television route for my final piece, which involved four short documentaries about the South Oxfordshire region. This helped Alfie to figure out what he would like to do in the future, as he experienced how to produce, as well as presenting the documentaries.

Back in August 2022, Alfie got accepted onto a 4 year undergraduate course in Broadcast Journalism at the University of Huddersfield, which holds a placement year abroad.

Alfie went on to say “Working at Wallingford Radio with Ian, Andrea, Ros and Harry has helped my confidence grow in the studio environment. I have enjoyed the many laughs we all have in the studio, as well as creating a personalised atmosphere to the listener of Wallingford Radio.”
