A very special Hall of Sound happened this Saturday as well as all the usual mix of great tunes, faketoids, cheese & junior choice Colin & Paul were also be joined in the studio by Christine Smith and Gemma Rogers for a chat about Christine’s book of poems On A Personal Note.

Please come and join me and my extraordinary granddaughter, Gemma, for a bit of a party next week to launch into the world my book of poetry called ‘On A Personal Note’ – and raise funds for The Woodland Trust at the same time.

Where: The Red Lion OX44 7SS

When: Thursday 29th April

Time: 3.30pm onwards

Bring the children on the way home from school or the dog after it’s walk. They will be most welcome. There will be a glass of bubbles for those who fancy it or a soft drink for yourself & your little ones if you prefer. Also a few nibbles – not enough to spoil your appetite for supper though.

Don’t be put off by ‘poetry’. Anyone who knows me will know that my poems are very accessible – some sad, some happy, some funny – something for everyone. I’d love you to be my guest.

Feel free to spread the word. If you’d drop me a line to say you’re coming it would help the Red Lion but it’s not an obligation. Just come!

In the meantime, if you can’t come and would like a copy of the book, just drop me a line on – onapersonalnotecs@gmail.com and I will send one through the post. The cost of the book is £8.50 with £5 of that going straight to the Woodland Trust. With p&p it will be £12.50 – sadly the cost of postage has just gone up!
